The purpose of this LSU NCBRT presentation is to explain the three tasks that are required to affirm learning in the classroom, which are monitoring, assessing, and evaluating. This information is primarily for those tasked with training first responders and others in emergency response related fields. Effective instructors monitor, assess, and evaluate student learning to ensure they attain knowledge and skills specified in the course.

If you receive a message saying "Only members of cohort 'DHS Course' can self-enroll.", you first need to complete your profile information which is required for DHS-Certified training.

  1. Visit https://train.ncbrt.lsu.edu
  2. Select LOGIN on the homepage
  3. On the Student Dashboard, select Edit Profile
  4. Ensure all required fields are filled out and select Save Changes
  5. It may take up to 5 minutes for Moodle to update your permissions
  6. Refresh the course page to check for access.
  7. You should now see the "Enroll Me" button under the Course Enrollment heading below.
  8. Email elearn@ncbrt.lsu.edu if you have further questions about course access.
