This Micro Module discusses four types of mental health disorders that may contribute to behavioral crises. The presentation discusses the symptoms, definitions, and types of mood disorders, trauma and stressor disorders, psychotic disorders, and developmental or cognitive disorders. Recognizing these types of mental health disorders helps responders accurately and safely de-escalate potential situations and allows responders to protect themselves, the community, and the person in crisis.
