The Importance of Planning for an Active Threat Incident

Active threat perpetrators often plan extensively for a campus attack. The best way for the campus community to combat this is through preparation of their own. Disrupting an attacker's plan can significantly influence the outcome by minimizing injuries and deaths. This presentation describes the importance of planning for an active threat and provides sample planning measures.

  1. Click your name in the upper right corner
  2. Select Profile
  3. Under User Details, select Edit Profile
  4. Scroll down and click FEMA Required Fields,
  5. Fill out all fields and click Update Profile (FEMA SID can be obtained from https://cdp.dhs.gov/FEMASID)
  6. It may take up to 5 minutes for Moodle to update your permissions
  7. Refresh the course page to check for access.
  8. You should now see the "Enroll Me" button under the Course Enrollment heading below.
  9. Email elearn@ncbrt.lsu.edu if your access is not granted after 5 minutes.
